High-impact grinding equipment. Select shell liner, lifter and grate materials by wear zone; metal-rubber composites are an established lining option.

A semi-autogenous grinding mill (SAG mill) uses the ore itself and a supplementary steel ball charge for coarse grinding in a rotating shell. Principal wear parts are located at the feed end, shell lining and discharge system. Gear-driven designs also include a drive pinion and a girth gear surrounding the shell.

Identify SAG mill parts from the installed machine and actual interfaces, rather than a generic part name alone. This applies to Metso, FLS, CITIC HIC and other installed equipment.
