Explore equipment and wear parts by material characteristics, process stage and wear location.
Sugar mills combine several distinct operating environments along the production line:
Cane preparation exposes knives and shredders to cutting, impact, abrasion and fatigue from cane, soil, sand, stones and tramp metal. Milling and diffusion combine fibres, soil, juice, heavy loads and wet corrosion, so roller shells, scrapers, screens, chains and pumps cannot be selected by hardness alone. Clarification, evaporation, crystallization and centrifugation emphasize corrosion, scale, corrosion fatigue, hygiene and cleaning compatibility. Dry sugar crystals create fine-particle wear and dust risks, while bagasse boilers face hot erosion, slagging and ash abrasion.
