- Hardox 400/500: candidate wear-resistant steel grades. Confirm the hardness range, thickness and fabrication requirements against the material certificate and part drawing.
- 42CrMo: a candidate alloy steel for sprockets and pins. Specify the quench-and-temper condition, hardness and fatigue requirements on the part drawing.
- Case-hardening alloy steel: a candidate material for pins. Surface hardness, effective case depth and core toughness must meet the chain design.
