بطانة المخروط المتحرك, concave, spider and feed-area wear parts

Mantles, concaves, mainshaft sleeves, spider-arm shields, underside liners and top-shell wear plates are identified separately by position and linked to component and material pages.

Generic mantle and concave arrangement
01

بطانة المخروط المتحرك

بطانة المخروط المتحرك

Mounted over the mainshaft and head, the mantle forms the varying chamber with the concaves. Confirm profile, segments, thickness, fixing and wear allowance for the full KB / BK model.

Material selection: For primary crushing of large hard rock, assess manganese steel and reinforced variants first. Grade, chemistry, heat treatment and properties follow drawings, ore and life targets.

Concave segment
02

Concave segment

Concave Segment

Segments inside the top shell form the chamber with the mantle. Check count, zonal profiles, backing gaps, support rings and adjacent interfaces together.

Material selection: Impact and compression vary with height. Assess manganese steel, wear-resistant alloy steel or composites by zone; equal hardness does not establish equivalence.

View the common part page →
Mainshaft protective sleeve
03

Mainshaft protective sleeve

Mainshaft Protective Sleeve

This separate protective part fits outside the mainshaft; it is not the shaft itself. Confirm diameters, length, locating shoulders, removal direction and fit with the head separately.

Material selection: Select wear-resistant alloy steel or drawing-specified material for sliding wear, interference fit, handling impacts and shaft protection; control machining and heat-treatment distortion.

View the common part page →
Spider arm shield
04

Spider arm shield

Spider Arm Shield

Shields cover feed-facing spider arms against falling-material impact and erosion. Confirm handedness, arm profile, overlaps, holes and wear direction from the spider design.

Material selection: Impact zones require toughness and secure fixing. Assess manganese steel, wear plate or composites against drawings and drop conditions.

View the common part page →
Spider underside liner
05

Spider underside liner

Spider Underside Wear Liner

Located under the spider near the feed and chamber top, these require joint checks of profile, countersunk holes, handedness and mainshaft oscillation clearance.

Material selection: Select manganese steel or wear plate for flying-material impact and sliding wear; control hole positions, edge distortion and installation gaps.

View the common part page →
Top-shell and feed-area wear plates
06

Top-shell and feed-area wear plates

Top Shell / Feed Area Wear Plate

These protect the top shell, hopper and adjacent feed chute. Identify by drop point, lump size, liner zones, holes, overlaps and maintenance access.

Material selection: Choose manganese steel, quenched-and-tempered plate or rubber composites by impact/erosion balance; confirm welding and fixing before manufacture.

Spider, mainshaft, eccentric, gearing and hydraulic spares

The mainshaft and protective sleeve are separate parts. Confirm spider, shaft and eccentric assemblies, gears, upper bushes and hydraulic adjustment by their own interfaces and materials.

Spider assembly
01

Spider assembly

Spider Assembly

The spider carries the upper mainshaft support and defines feed passages. Standard ring, split-ring, bone-shaped and jaw-type designs differ in structure, weight, support and removal method; confirm the installed version.

Material selection: Large cast-steel or welded structures follow drawing materials, casting/welding processes, heat treatment, tolerances and NDT. Check shields separately as wear parts.

View the common part page →
Mainshaft assembly
02

Mainshaft assembly

Mainshaft Assembly

The mainshaft is the complete load-bearing shaft, separate from its protective sleeve. The assembly also involves the head, head nut, step-bearing interface and hydraulic support end.

Material selection: Control material, forging ratio, heat treatment, properties, ultrasonic testing, journal machining and straightness as a large forging; sleeve material is not a substitute.

View the common part page →
Generic gyratory eccentric bushing
03

Eccentric assembly and bushing

Eccentric Assembly & Bushing

The eccentric drives mainshaft gyration and includes the body, inner bush, counterweight and supports. Confirm eccentricity, diameters, oil grooves, rotation direction and stroke setting by model.

Material selection: Check the steel eccentric body separately from the copper-alloy sliding bush, focusing on fits, oil grooves and poured or centrifugal casting quality.

View the common part page →
Bevel gear and pinion
04

Bevel gear and pinion

Bevel Gear & ترس صغير

The OEM uses cyclo-palloid spiral bevel gearing. Confirm tooth counts, module, pressure angle, spiral hand, shaft angle, backlash and matching marks as a pair.

Material selection: Gear material, forging, carburizing or quench and temper, tooth hardness, accuracy, contact pattern and NDT follow drawing and pairing requirements.

View the common part page →
Spider bushing and oil seal
05

Spider bushing and oil seal

Spider Bushing & Oil Seal

At the spider centre, these support upper-mainshaft movement. Check bore, length, oil grooves, clearance, lubrication and seal orientation with the shaft journal.

Material selection: Select the copper-alloy bush and seal material to the OEM arrangement, focusing on clearance, lubrication and operating temperature rise.

View the common part page →
Hydraulic adjustment assembly and piston seals
06

Hydraulic adjustment assembly and piston seals

Hydraulic Adjustment & Piston Seal

Hydraulics support and raise/lower the mainshaft to set discharge gap, compensate wear and protect against overload. Check bore, stroke, pressure, seal grooves and step-bearing interface together.

Material selection: Specify cylinder, piston, guides and seals separately for pressure, load, fluid and temperature, including surface treatment. Outside diameter alone cannot identify a seal.

Special Tooling

OEM-documented KB / BK maintenance tools

Only dedicated tools explicitly listed in the thyssenkrupp brochure or FLS KB Pro data sheet are shown. Recalculate and confirm loads, lifting points and site interfaces for each installation.

Eccentric assembly removal lift
01

Eccentric assembly removal lift

Eccentric Assembly Removal Lift

The OEM brochure lists a dedicated scissor lift for eccentric removal and transfer. Design capacity, stroke, positioning, interfaces and pit depth for the specific KB / BK installation.

Submit installation dimensions for tool assessment →
Concave mounting rack / dismantling device
02

Concave mounting rack / dismantling device

Concave Mounting Rack / Dismantling Device

The brochure and KB Pro data sheet explicitly list concave mounting racks and dismantling devices. These position and replace segments; confirm structure against shell bore, liner zones, lifting points and working space.

Submit liner and shell drawings for tool assessment →

Are equal-diameter KB and BK parts interchangeable?

No. BK has a jaw-gyratory structure with an enlarged one-sided opening, so its spider, housing, chamber and feed area differ from KB. Confirm full model, serial number and drawings.

هل العمود الرئيسي والجلبة الواقية قطعة واحدة؟

No. The mainshaft is a large internal load-bearing forging; the sleeve is a separate protective part fitted outside it. Materials, dimensions, manufacturing and acceptance requirements differ.

Why are unconfirmed OEM part numbers omitted?

Existing internal tooth-cap records cannot reliably link numbers to specific KB / BK positions and drawing revisions, so no numbers are inferred. Establish the link after receiving nameplate or drawing references.
