Secondary Apron Liner (Second Apron Liner)— Impact Crusher Wear part, position 10.
| Installation Position | Second working face downstream of the first apron, position 10 in common layout A. |
| Main Function | Continues crushing and controls product shape, size and circulating load. |
| Replacement Frequency | High replacement frequency; assess thickness, remaining clearance adjustment, cracks and wear trends. |
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Material Options | Martensitic wear-resistant steel, high-chromium white cast iron, ceramic/MMC composites or high-manganese steel |
| Typical Properties and Acceptance Criteria | The second stage usually handles smaller material than the first, allowing higher hardness after impact limits are established. Martensitic steel commonly lies around 45–55 HRC; high-chromium working layers are commonly around 58–65 HRC and better suited to steady high-abrasion, lower-impact duty. Control composition, heat treatment, hardness distribution, cracks, mounting faces and toughness around bolt holes. |
| Principal Failure Mechanism | Sliding or three-body abrasion, localized impact and cracking around fastener holes |
