Eccentric Bushing

Eccentric Bushing

Identify parts for Metso cone crushers, check models and drawing numbers, confirm materials and processes, and submit an inquiry.

Equipment, Models and Drawing References

Identify the installed machine model and key dimensions, then check the part number, drawing number, drawing revision and physical interfaces.

Equipment Series

Metso Cone Crushers

Models and Key Dimensions

Metso HP series (HP100-HP800), GP series (GP100-GP550), and MP series (MP800-MP1000)

Drawing Number / Part Number

See the OEM part number table below

Provide the equipment nameplate, complete model and existing part number so that the installation position and drawings can be checked.

Drawing Revision

Confirm dimensions by measuring the sample or using the customer drawing. Cross-check the drawing revision against the model on the equipment nameplate.

Materials and Processes

Select the material grade and heat treatment for the operating conditions, processed material and equipment specifications. The options below are commonly used; confirm the final grade against the drawing and technical agreement.

C95400 aluminum bronze (ASTM B148)

Candidate aluminum bronze; verify casting and heat treatment condition, composition and mechanical properties against the eccentric bushing drawing and material standard.

Aluminum bronze C95500 (ASTM B148)

Candidate nickel-aluminum bronze; confirm suitability for heavy loading and mechanical properties for the specified material condition and part drawing.

C93200 leaded tin bronze (SAE 660)

Candidate leaded bearing copper alloy; select for the load, speed and lubrication conditions. The material cannot replace the lubrication required by the equipment.

Wear and Replacement Criteria

Common wear patterns and maintenance guidance are outlined below. Determine replacement intervals from operating conditions, processed material and equipment performance data.

Common Wear Patterns

  • Eccentric mainshaft loading causes uneven bushing bore wear, concentrated in the direction of eccentric loading
  • Inadequate lubrication causes bushing scuffing and seizure; severe cases can weld the bushing to the mainshaft
  • Foreign particles in the lubricant cause axial grooves in the bushing surface
  • Fretting between the bushing outside diameter and housing bore loosens the fit
Replacement Criteria

Check bushing wear and fitting clearance against the maintenance manual. Stop and inspect if the stroke becomes abnormal, copper debris keeps increasing, or surfaces show seizure or scoring. Base replacement on actual damage and model-specific limits. Control interference between the outside diameter and housing bore to the drawing.

Materials and Processes

Materials, heat treatment, composite construction and inspection requirements depend on the specific drawing, operating conditions and technical review.

Material Grade / Substrate

The material grade and applicable standard must follow the drawing or confirmed technical specification for the machine model. Candidate materials on this page are not an OEM grade designation.

Heat Treatment Condition

Select the heat treatment condition for the specific copper alloy grade and part drawing; verify final hardness and microstructure against the technical agreement.

Composite / Hardfacing Requirements

Bronze bushings are not suitable for weld overlay repair. Replace the worn bushing as a complete part; surface repair is not recommended.

Dimensions and Inspection

Manufacture to drawings produced from part measurements or supplied by the customer. Critical mating surface tolerances follow OEM requirements. Specify nondestructive testing methods suitable for the material and part geometry. Agree the inspection scope and acceptance criteria in the technical specification.

Parts with the same name may not be interchangeable because of differences in machine model, drawing revision, mounting interface or material specification. Use the complete model, serial number, drawing number and drawing before manufacture.
