Third Apron Liners (Third Apron Liner)— Impact Crusher Wear part, position 11.
| Installation Position | Working face of the optional third apron, position 11 in common layout A. |
| Main Function | Provides further crushing and shaping of finer material and fine adjustment of product size. |
| Replacement Frequency | Medium to high replacement frequency; assess whether the model has this option, remaining thickness, cracks and changes in product size. |
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Material Options | High-chromium white cast iron, martensitic wear-resistant steel or ceramic/MMC composites |
| Typical Properties and Acceptance Criteria | The third apron usually handles finer material with a larger abrasive wear contribution, allowing higher-hardness options. High-chromium working layers are commonly around 58–65 HRC, but tramp material, thin sections, holes and edge impacts still require assessment. For ceramic composites, control insert bonding and arrangements for recovering foreign objects from the chamber. |
| Principal Failure Mechanism | Sliding or three-body abrasion, localized impact and cracking around fastener holes |
