Liner bolts

Clamps replaceable liners to the housing or supporting structure while resisting vibration and impact.

Liner bolts

Liner bolts (Liner Bolts)— Hammer Crusher Wear part, position 24.

Installation and Function

Installation PositionAt the fixing points for side housing, impact wall, grinding path, feed and discharge liners; position 24 in the location diagram.
Main FunctionClamps replaceable liners to the housing or supporting structure while resisting vibration and impact.
Replacement FrequencyHigh wear exposure; replace if inspection finds elongation, bending, head erosion, thread scoring or loss of locking function.

Materials and Mechanical Properties

ItemDetails
Material OptionsProperty class 10.9/12.9 alloy steel, quenched and tempered 35CrMo/42CrMo steel, or OEM-specified impact-resistant fasteners
Typical Properties and Acceptance CriteriaLiner bolts must balance clamping force, impact toughness and fatigue life. Verify the property class, thread, shank diameter, head shape, grip length, nut and locking arrangement against OEM requirements. Check decarburization, cracks, necking and rolled thread quality. Do not increase hardness without assessing preload and toughness.
Principal Failure MechanismImpact, cutting and abrasive wear; sliding and three-body abrasion, local impact and cracking around fastener holes

Material and Design Considerations

  • Identify material hardness, particle size, abrasiveness, moisture, temperature, pH, impact and tramp material;
  • High hardness does not replace core toughness, fatigue strength, corrosion resistance or high-temperature performance;
  • For composite, hardfaced, ceramic and elastomer designs, assess substrate bonding, edge protection, fastening and maintainability;
  • For parts that mate with shafts, gears, seals, roll surfaces or housings, control fits, tolerances, surface finish and assembly clearances together;
  • Assess material upgrades using cumulative throughput, dimensional wear, failure modes, product quality and downtime costs.

Required Ordering / RFQ Information

  • Equipment manufacturer, machine model, serial number, part number and latest drawing revision;
  • Part dimensions, unit weight, key tolerances, assembly and fastening method;
  • Current material, chemical composition, heat treatment, hardness and mechanical property reports;
  • Processed material, maximum particle size, hardness/abrasiveness, moisture and tramp material records;
  • Speed, load, temperature, pressure, process medium chemistry and continuous operating time;
  • Failure photographs, wear measurements, crack/fracture locations and current service life;
Materials and values are for preliminary engineering selection. Final chemical composition, heat treatment, hardness and dimensional tolerances must follow the OEM drawings and technical agreement.
