| Typical Properties and Acceptance Criteria | This is a replaceable protective mainshaft sleeve, distinct from a copper alloy sliding bushing. Key requirements are core strength and toughness, resistance to seizure at threads and mounting faces, coaxiality, cylindricity, wall thickness and NDT. Typical quenched and tempered hardness may fall around 260–340 HB, but the specific drawing governs. Before changing strength or surface hardening, assess removal and installation, mating threads and mainshaft stress concentrations. |
