Swiss Tower Mills Minerals
Swiss Tower Mills Minerals is a Swiss stirred-milling technology company whose main equipment family is HIGmill™. Metso completed its acquisition in 2025. This page covers STM history and links to installed equipment identification.
History and Current Ownership
When identifying installed equipment, retain historical references to Swiss Tower Mills, STM, Outotec and Metso.
Swiss Tower Mills Minerals AG was established in Switzerland in 2011, focusing on vertical stirred-milling technology. From 2012, its HIGmill technology entered the mining market through cooperation with Outotec, which later became part of Metso.
Metso completed the acquisition of Swiss Tower Mills Minerals in 2025. Nameplates, contracts, general arrangement drawings and spare part documents may still refer to Swiss Tower Mills, STM, Outotec or Metso. Identify parts using the equipment nameplate, full model, drawing number and drawings.
HIGmill technology entered distribution through Outotec's global network.
Metso completed the acquisition, bringing STM into its grinding technology portfolio.
