Installation and Function

Installation PositionPasses axially through the rotor suspension discs to support the swing hammers
FunctionActs as the pivot support and load-bearing rod for the swing hammers, allowing them to move and transmitting impact loads.

Materials and Mechanical Properties

  • Material selection: quenched and tempered alloy steel is a typical option for engineering assessment; the OEM drawing defines the final specification.
  • Control bending and shear fatigue, surface damage, straightness, fits and nondestructive testing. This load-bearing part requires a different assessment from a general high-hardness wear part.
  • Confirm material and manufacturing requirements against the specific model, drawings and acceptance agreement.

Required Ordering / RFQ Information

  • Obtain the equipment nameplate, model, serial number, original part number, drawing revision, used-part dimensions and failure photographs. Record coal properties, maximum feed size, moisture, gangue or tramp metal, throughput, speed, clearances, vibration and current service life.
Materials and values are for preliminary engineering selection. Final chemical composition, heat treatment, hardness and dimensional tolerances must follow the OEM drawings and technical agreement.
