Material Information

  • ZG35CrMo / ZG42CrMo are candidate chromium-molybdenum steel grades for heavily loaded support castings. Verify composition, heat treatment and mechanical properties against the grade standard and drawing.
  • 42CrMo: quenched and tempered alloy steel, offering a balance of strength and toughness for suitable support-roller and gear applications.
  • Select internal metal wear parts and refractory linings separately for temperature, atmosphere, thermal cycling and material attack. Ordinary high-chromium cast iron is not a general solution for the high-temperature burning zone.
  • SiC castable: a silicon-carbide refractory option for hot, chemically aggressive kiln-inlet feed zones, subject to process compatibility.
