Core flotation equipment. Rotors and stators face slurry erosion and corrosion; rubber and polyurethane coverings are common material systems.

Flotation machines agitate and aerate slurry to form bubbles. Hydrophobic mineral particles attach to the bubbles and rise into the froth for separation. FLSmidth WEMCO is an established self-aspirating design. Wear parts are concentrated in the rotor-stator assembly, which mixes and aerates the slurry in direct contact with solids.
